Title A name given to the resource HanShu / Han Shu Subject The topic of the resource Historiographisches Werk der <a href="https://seidenstrassen.digital/omeka/items/show/65">Han-Dynastie</a> Description An account of the resource Das Han Shu ist ein Werk über die Dynastiegeschichte der Westlichen Han-Dynastie, die von 206 v.Chr. bis 8 n.Chr. existierte. Es beginnt mit der Entstehung der Han-Dynastie und endet mit dem Interregnum des Wang Mang (9-23 n.Chr.). Ban Biao begann das Werk 36 n.Chr., und nach seinem Tod im Jahr 54 n.Chr. setzte sein Sohn Ban Gu die Arbeit daran fort. Nach dessen Hinrichtung im Jahre 92 n.Chr. wurde das Han Shu nach Aufforderung durch Kaiser He (Regierungszeit: 88-105 n.Chr.) von Ban Gus Schwester Ban Zhao beendet. Das Werk umfasst 100 Kapitel (juan), darunter zwölf Kaiserannalen, acht Tabellen, zehn Abhandlungen und 70 Biographien und Monographien. Als Modell diente das Shiji des Sima Qian, das zu Beginn des ersten vorchristlichen Jahrhunderts verfasst wurde. Die Daten der frühen Geschichte wurden zum großen Teil wohl aus dem Shiji übernommen. Aufgrund seiner Tätigkeit am kaiserlichen Hof hatte Ban Gu Zugang zu diversen kaiserlichen Edikten, Memoranden und Genealogien, aus denen er zitierte. Die Echtheit des Han Shu wird nicht angezweifelt.
